Shu vs. Wu- A Rap Battle
Shu: (Liu Bei)- Where do we begin in the Conquest of Shu? Shall I start with the oath to Zhang Fei and Guan Yu? No. Your country's red, like your hands, with their blood, And it's a pity you enjoy fire, because here comes the flood. (Zhuge Liang)- We've played you within Wu with my mind and my fan, As everything had gone exactly as I planned. Quan, your father was the Tiger of Jiang Dong, Yet Shu looks at you as if to ask, "What went wrong"? Your fangs have gone dull, you fell into a lull, And..really...a kingdom for your family is simply droll. So, enough with your naive, familial nonsense, As we continue to create a world built of Benevolence. Wu: (Sun Quan)- How convenient you'd mention a flood, you stubborn knave, The waters of Fan Castle sent your brother to an early grave, Now, behave, before I rip you to shreds, Or is it Lu Xun that Shu truly dreads? The Light in the Woods
A sound howls through the wind, The whistling song guiding me within As the darkness of the woods overtakes me, Enormous trees and overhanging leaves shading the path onward When, in the pitch-black, I see a smile, A visage in the midnight Shining through the shadow as a beacon of light. I fear it. I hear it. I care for it. I bear it. I throw myself headlong into the race, Seeing the friendly visage and giving chase Through the abyss and the blinding black To meet it. To greet it. To understand. To lend a hand. I say hello to it as it calls to me, The friendly smile disarming me, Shedding a brightness over the deep dark. We exchange stories and words, Telling one another of things that occurred As the entity shares their plight, The smile fading before my sight. I reach a hand out as a show of comfort, Bringing a smile back across their face And before long, the lone creature must leave, Thanking me for the time which they couldn't conceive. I give them a "Farewell" and wave them

The sound echoes like a trumpet from its source,
A bleeding heart that can spare remorse,
But can the heart bleed for others ever more
If those others cannot tend to the heart when it's sore?
Time and Time has come and gone,
As a fleeting ghost that vanishes before long,
The apparition seeking a lesson from the living,
Yet vanishing before it can do any giving.
They soon forget the lesson learned,
The mentorship proving itself not fully "earned"
As the spirit cries and w
A Static Addict
Growing up in a world ruled by the digital age
Makes me long for the days when you had to turn a page
And set the stage
For the next act to get a gauge
On the reality that awaits them once they step away from their cage.
Everyone is controlled by the sights,
The bright lights,
And scared to put their fists up in a fight
To get what they want in life.
A static age, full of white noise and chaotic confusion,
Hypnotic delusion,
Where fear of the world forces one into seclusion,
And in this exile, they find their potential,
Building credentials,
Fostering life skills that are essential
For their sequential existence.
